Any other suggestions? My attempts to >talk to Zenith technical support have failed for the last 3 days. I finnaly got through to Zenith Tech Support and got my answer, so I thought I would share it for other 248 owners. Apparantly the 248 motherboard has a jumper which tells it if there are 1 Meg or 256K SIMMS in the first 4 SIMM slots. On my mother board the jumper is J103, but the Tech first told me J102 which apparantly was the number on a earlier revision of the motherboard. Since my board had no J102, I would suggest that if you have a J102, try it first, and if not then use J103. For J102: positions 1-2 mean 1 Meg SIMMS but for J103: positions 2-3 mean 1 MEG SIMMS. I hope this information proves usefull to someone else out there, it sure would be nice if it were in the manual that came with the PC. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |Ted Goldstein | E-mail: du4@mace.cc.purdue.edu | |Network and Systems Admninistrator | Phone : (317) 494-9070 | |Purdue University School of Technology | Office: Knoy Hall, Rm G009 | |-----------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Philosophy's alright, when you have a house to think about it in-Arlo Guthrie| -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
