I have two problems with printing LaTeX output on 
a HP LaserJet II:

 * sometimes (unpredictably) single characters from
   especially small fonts are not printed -- I had a
   few pages in \cmr<9pt> without x and n; funny
   

 * when I have a document containing quite a lot of  
   different fonts and I try to print it (with dvijep
   from an Atari1040) I receive the message that the
   number of fonts is too large for the HP's storage
   capacity. What is printed is an almost random 
   distribution of characters across the page.

Are there standard solutions for especially the second
problem?
