Message-ID: <1991Apr3.195346.21678@milton.u.washington.edu> Date: 3 Apr 91 19:53:46 GMT Organization: University of Washington Lines: 22 Alright, my experience with Ultrix so far is not good. I have tried to get TeX 3.1, gcc, CAP 6.0, and several other packages installed on a 3100 running Ultrix 4.0. Most things compile fine, or require a little tweaking, but I can deal with these problems. With TeX and CAP, however, I have run into situations where I am getting syntax errors in STANDARD INCLUDE FILES. I understand that DEC has only recently started supporting UN*X, but I would expect a little better than getting syntax errors with stuff that comes with the system. Since I have just recently been supporting these boxes in our department, I don't have any "network" of people to go to for help in resolving these type of problems so I would like suggestions from the net on good sources of info on Ultrix programming problems. Please email your replies.
