Berkeley -- ERL Lines: 33 Can anybody help me on this one? Windows 3.00a refuses to start up in standard mode with qemm installed; the opening screen comes up but immediately exits to DOS. It will start up in real and enhanced modes. I used the following config.sys and autoexec.bat files: device=c:\qemm\qemm386.sys ram rom files=30 buffers=20 \dos\share path c:\windows;c:\dos;c:\ set TEMP=c:\windows\temp I tried adding x=b000-b7ff, but it didn't help. If I remove qemm and replace it with himem.sys, then all three modes work. My system configuration is: Micronics 386-16 with 6Mb Orchid Prodesigner w/512k (not the Prodesigner II) Sony 1304 Multi-Scan VGA Monitor 80Mb Conner IDE Hard Drive MicroSoft Serial Mouse (com1) Modem (com2) Sound Blaster sound card MS-DOS 4.01 Now for a different problem. Sometimes Windows 3.0 refuses to start up in real mode under Desqview 2.31. It says something like, "Incorrect Dos version. Dos 3.1 or greater required." I'm running MS-DOS 4.01, so the error message doesn't make sense. This problem seems to only occur when two or three Desqview windows are already open. It always starts whenever I open it first, before anything else.
