It's the people who are running the "correct" software that are being deprived of information. I can understand refusing to parse all the strange date formats out there, but not this niggling over a space. C-News knows what's wrong with the article, but refuses to correct it. This is quite different from knowing something is wrong but having no idea how to correct it, or knowing what is wrong and having no way to correct it.
