I am not. There was a good discussion starting about hardware and VR which I thought brought a good bit of reality to this newsgroup. But Bob J. says there are too many people complaining so I would like to continue this discussion via Email. If you would like to be in on this discussion (Hardware issues and VR) send me some Email and I'll be the clearinghouse for this discussion. To everyone who complained about this thread. Have fun dreaming, we'll get on with getting things running. -Alan "I don't take kindly to head bashing" Kilian -Alan Kilian kilian@cray.com 612.683.5499 Cray Research, Inc. | If you were plowing a field what would you 655 F Lone Oak Drive | rather use? 2 strong oxen or 1024 chickens? Eagan MN, 55121 | -Seymour Cray (On massivly paralell machines) -- [MODERATOR'S NOTE: I believe that Alan misstates the complaints of several sci.virtual-worlds participants regarding the Cray-Connection Machine discus- sion. As I understood them, these complaints were not about the use of hardware to create virtual worlds -- rather, they were finding the listing of the internal characteristics of Cray and CM computers to be tedious. Alan does not agree. He feels that after the first few posts, the general tenor of the thread was against discussions of hardware. So he has requested that I post this. I don't want to promote another derivative discussion of who said what. So those who want to follow Alan's suggestion should do so via email. Otherwise, discussions of hardware AS IT RELATES TO VIRTUAL WORLDS continues to be welcome here. -- Bob J.]
