Every church I've ever been a member has regarded it as absolutely essential for the amount given by an individual to be kept as secret as possible. Usually only one person would know. This is for the good of those who give fairly little as well as those who give quite a lot. I'm not sure if I would even feel comfortable in a church where that kind of thing was publicly known. -mib
