Lines: 39 We are a Bay Area consulting firm looking for someone with background in the following: SQL Databases (esp. Sybase, Oracle, Ingres...) DOS or OS/2 or Unix C or C++ At least 3 years experience with the above (VERY IMPORTANT) Our project is in Silicon Valley, and involves the creation of software that will provide a common interface to a heterogeneous collection of relational database backends. Our client is a major supplier of relational databases seeking connectivity between their application product line and a number of other vendors' client/server SQL databases. Experience with a variety of SQL dialects is a plus. Knowledge of how databases behave internally is important. Distributed database experience is a plus. Ideally, you will have a working knowledge of various SQL databases, how they work, and how they differ, internally and externally.
