I prefer a keyboard where the caps lock key is in the other room. (1)
The control key should be next to the "A".  My other preferences are
not so strong as these.  I also hate noisy keyboards.

(1) I'll settle for any place where it is not easily hit since I never use
it.  Definitely not next to the "A" key.  When I use X, no key is bound
to caps lock.
