The problem is that it does not seem to be possible to mail to me from emacs when I have this feature enabled. My ~/.forward file contains the usual thing: \mjn, "|/usr/ubc/vacation mjn" Whenever someone tries to mail me a message when the ~/.forward file exists, the mail message is returned containing the following: Mail error was: 554 <"|/usr/ucb/vacation mjn">... Cannot mail directly to programs However when using the standard mail program everything works fine. I am running GNU Emacs 18.55.1 (berkeley-unix) on a sparc station Thanks in advance for any help. -- |\ /| ~~T~~ |\ | | Mark Neale | mjn@jet.uucp (UK mailing) | \/ | | | \ | | JET, OX14 3EA, UK | mjn%jet.uucp@ukc.ac.uk | | | | \ | | | (Outside UK) | | \_/ | \| | Any opinion expressed above is strictly my own. ------------------------------ Disclaimer: Please note that the above is a personal view and should not be construed as an official comment from the JET project.
