Last July I sent Borland two letters, five pages in all, containing comments on their compiler products. I did this in the spirit of an enthusiatic customer hoping to contribute to the effort in a constructive way. I never even got an acknowledgement. Not even a postcard. Borland definitely has a public relations problem. Note that Borland does not include comprehensive revision notes with new versions. How are you supposed to know whether those workarounds you employed in your old code will work with the new compiler? Cross your fingers and hope for the best. It is evident that Borland has not focused on the needs of the professional programmer. It is my impression that Borland has little respect for its customers.
