We used to switch between appletalk and the serial (25 pin rs-232) ports by flipping dip switches. We have bought a box that should do that switching for us. Unfortunately, the dip switches have broken from overuse and the printer is stuck in appletalk mode. I have read the manual and it says that this can be overridden by software, so I figured there must be a postscript command to do this. Could anybody please help and tell me 1. Does the command exist? 2. If so, what is it? 3. Is the change permanent, or at least until the power is recycled? Thanks for any and all help. jjk@astro.umd.edu also for Athabasca and Reudi Jim Klavetter Astronomy UMD College Park, MD 20742
