Thank You for the overwhelming response....   
Significantly more people suggest the Tower option for expandibility.
Desktops for simple uses, and not putting desktops on their side.
I realize that this was not very interesting, but for an honest 
opinion from a varied cross-section of the population, it worked
out just fine.
