Sci., Urbana, IL Lines: 28 Intensive Workshop in Sound Computation May 22 - June 5 University of Illinois The University of Illinois CERL Sound Group will present a two week Intensive Workshop in Sound Computation May 22 through June 5 at the University of Illinois Digital Computer Laboratory. Topics include the basic concepts of digital signal processing, object-oriented programming, sound synthesis and analysis techniques, and real-time software sound synthesis; all concepts presented in lectures will be supported by several hours per day of hands-on experience with the Kyma(tm) System and the Lime(tm) music notation program. The fee for the two week workshop is $500 which covers all course materials, lectures, seminars, studio time, snacks, and the banquet at the conclusion of the workshop.
