Message-ID: <7248@spdcc.SPDCC.COM> Date: 9 Apr 91 12:24:37 GMT Organization: S.P. Dyer Computer Consulting, Cambridge MA Lines: 19 I posted this to comp.windows.ms, but got no response so I'm trying here. Besides, this *may* be a 4DOS/Windows interaction. I was printing a line-art drawing in Paintbrush to my Epson LQ-800 and I kept getting only 25% of the picture to print. After that the printer would hang. I shelled out and copied the spool file, then I stopped Print Manager and copied the file to prn myself. Same result. I then used the /b switch to copy it and all was well. A quick check of 4DOS help confirmed that copy assumes an ascii copy if the source or destination is a device. Since my spool file was huge, I didn't go in and confirm that there was a control-Z; a copy with /a only moved 25% of the file. Is this a known Windows bug, or is it an interaction between 4DOS and Windows? -- Jerry Natowitz Guest user on: ARPA jin@ursa-major.spdcc.com UUCP {ima,harvard,rayssd,linus,m2c}!spdcc!jin
