Message-ID: <1991Apr4.120453.5231@lure.latrobe.edu.au> Date: 4 Apr 91 02:04:53 GMT Organization: VAX Cluster, Computer Centre, La Trobe University Lines: 34 Don't you love coincidences? I have just completed organising an anonymous ftp directory for OS/2 software. It is software from mims (comp.binaries.os2), mtsg.ubc in Canada and the blekull11 bitnet listserver. Note this site is not a mirror, merely a collection from various places. There are quite a few files organised in a few subdirectories (which might change depending on software that comes in - I am not all that happy with the way it looks now). There is an annotated Index file. The site is: archive.latrobe.edu.au (131.172.2.2) Log in the usual way, username anonymous and password your internet name. Given that I do not have any software that is not already available in the U.S. (at the above mentioned sites) and Europe (re: the recent posting by Kari Likovuori at the University of Helsinki) I strongly urge looking on these respective continents for software first. The software is on a DECstation 2100 that is our network gateway. It is on the Australian Academic Research Network (AARNet) which is directly connected to the Internet. If you want other public domain/shareware software there are other sites handling/mirroring simtel, cica, zaphod, etc. Again, let me stress that I expect most users to be Australian-based. If you are in Europe or America you will get a faster feed from your respective ftp sites.
