Everything compiles fine, the executible starts up ok, but when I try to "manually dial", I get "cannot read/write to /dev/ttyd0". This makes perfect sense, since both ttyd0 and ttyd1 are owned by uucp and are set to mode 622. BTW, I have dial-in/dial-out enabled in the kernel for both these ports. Tip and uucp are both setuid to uucp, so they manage to take over the ports fine, but I still get the "can't read/write" message when I setuid pcomm to uucp. Since uucp, tip, and news have worked fine for years, I'm suspicious of pcomm. Has anyone successfully brought up pcomm on a system such as mine? Thanks in advance. -- In-Real-Life: John Bossert, Thalatta Corporation, (+1 206 455 9838) Domain: bossert@Thalatta.COM Path: ...!sun!sunup!thebes!bossert
