I hit a key, and the single backquote character (') continuously printed, preventing me from doing anything. I eventually made it stop by pulling out the keyboard connector and reinserting it. This alone did not fix it, I also had to jiggle the connector at the jack on the 2000. Now, I cannot boot, because as soon as a console window comes up, the ' character prints and the startup-sequence stops. If I boot with the keyboard disconnected, I am fine until I stick it in. Then sometimes I have to do my wiggle trick, and other times it works OK for an indeterminent amount of time. My theory is that it's the connector on the 2000, but if anyone has any suggestions before I haul it in for major surgery, I would appreciate it. -gerry -- uunet!dialogic!gerry | "Even a dead plant turns | Dialogic Corporation OR | over a new leaf | 300 Littleton Rd gerry@dialogic.UUCP | when the wind blows." | Parsippany, NJ 07054 | | (201)334-8450
