Well, now I've got the BB's and a GVP Series-II SCSI +8 with 2meg populated. I added the new PALS in hopes of reducing noise problems. I Grounded them heavilly. The unit would see the ram but get errors reading the hard disk to the point that you couldn't mount it. I tried a friends A1000 and it worked a lot better. It would let me format and partition the drive but I still get errors on Reading/Writing that make it unusable. ????? 1. Is there any thing else I should try with the A1000. Someone mentioned putting a 68010 in because they have better bus characteristics. 2. If I were to buy a used 500 would I be facing the same problems? (Is the expansion as bad on the 500?). 3. Is my only recourse to scrap the whole thing and get an A2000??? UUCP: {hplabs!hp-sdd ucsd nosc}!crash!pnet01!jackf ARPA: crash!pnet01!jackf@nosc.mil INET: jackf@pnet01.cts.com
