Or what about SCSIF_AUTOSENSE to virtual memory? Why not backup the SCSI harddrive (the one used for paging) to a SCSI tape drive using a backup program allocating buffers in virtual memory? Then, while backing up the system, eject the tape cartridge. Ralph
