How can a stationary 3-d sphere being (slowly) drawn be better for the screen, than any other stationary object? Granted they don't draw them and leave them there, but ... They do take time to draw, and they leave them there momentarily. They are also part of a repeating pattern (as I remember), so they are not the only thing being drawn. But they recur frequently enough. It seems as though this would be as bad as the original image, both can burn phosphor, just in a different pattern.
