After Dark (and the newer versions of Pyro for the Mac) has different modules that show different graphics (and sounds). For example, I've seen modules that show moire patterns, laser diffraction patterns, a cityscape composed entirely by the lights from windows, etc. There are easily over 50 different modules for After Dark. The modules can be created by anyone who knows how to program a Mac (Yuck!). The program can be set to randomly display modules from a list of user selected modules. It can even combine modules (one of my favorites is the cityscape combined with one that displays lightning bolts with a crash of thunder). While I believe blankers that do things like this defeat there purpose many a time, they can be awful attractive. Metahawk metahawk@rpi.edu
