My family's first computer was a Franklin 1000 which we have since upgraded to a IIgs. I am a part time programmer (does the word "hobbyist" exist anymore... haven't heard it lately...) and plan to fully support the Apple II. I write Apple II programs (although I am concentrating on Macintosh) and I have someone else who is also writing for the II. If a lot of software companies produce usable, decent products for the II, and because of that software, people keep on buying the II, Apple logically should continue to support it. (Of course, no one ever said Apple is logical)...
