I have been banging my head against the wall trying to get all of the
GNU C compiler and binary utilities (gas, gld, etc) to compile and run
on a HP-UX machine.  I am tired of bleeding...  It looks to me like
the the FSF folks didn't get a chance to fully test the HP-UX version
before shipping the latest version.  Surely, SOMEONE out there has
already done this.  I am trying to install the following versions:

        GCC             1.39
        GAS             1.38
        binutils        1.7
        GDB             3.5
