You need a 9122 disc drive to read 720k format discs. You may also need a newer version of DOS for the HP-150 to support the IBM format. As for what else you can do with it, there were various word processing, spread sheet, data base and other packages released for the HP150. In addition there is some public domain and shareware software available, including a version of Micro Emacs. It is a reasonably useful PC for general office work. It is slow by today's standards but was not when it was released. Most importantly, it is cute as hell.
