The little tower would work on one desk with monitor if the desk was wide/deep enough for you to be comfortable. Floor mounted towers are a deadly peril for hard disks. If I had a dollar for every hard drive I've un-fucked that came out of a tower on the floor, I'd take you out for a nice dinner.
