Next I tried an 80 MB disk filled with Text files compressed with DiskDoubler and lots of GIF format pictures. FastBack II did not compress it any further, of course. But worse, FastBackII made me loose my data: after filling the first tape, the Backup dialog told me to "change the cartridge when it stops" and then to "insert volume ". I did insert a second tape and FastBackII reportet to write another 20 MB to it. No warnings, no error messages; only completion messages. But even after reading the manual - page by page - I did not find out how to restore the data from the first tape. The second tape restores fine. hase -- Hartmut Semken, Lupsteiner Weg 67, 1000 Berlin 37 hase@netmbx.UUCP Hi! (Zaphod Beeblebrox)
