Castle Xabran.   If I remember correctly, I think it's the 8th age
or so.  (Please don't flame me! I don't have my paperwork at school
and I played it on an Apple)  But, the time travel device is in
the western most castle (forget the name).  I can't remember what
magical items are there, but I think the talons are.  Anyway, Yes,
you do have to time travel to visit Xabran.
