The MacSync I purchased has a definite lack of focus--all across the screen. 
It is attached to my SE/30 via a RasterOps 264/30 card, and there is a
noticable difference between the clearness of the two monitors.  I window full
of text set so it bridges the two screens shows an obvious difference in
clarity.  This happens in 1, 2, 4, 8, or 24 bit modes.

My MacSync is going back, to be replaced by a Seiko CM1445 or a Sony 1304. 
The MacSync was cheaper, but I need to be able to SEE after using my Mac :-)
