We have OmniPage and a Sharp scanner (we have colour input requirements too), but it's a rather tedious process to produce electronic text with this apparatus. I understand most SCSI scanners work with OmniPage, I'm requesting any positive AND negative points people have (from EXPERIENCE) in working with OmniPage and a scanner with sheet feeder. I had the Microtek MSII (I think that's the name) for eval last year. The sheet feeder kept jamming. On asking the rep - the response was, yep this is a "typical" model. Are there any other scanners I should try? Ones with 300dpi resolution and a reasonably swift transfer (scan) rate? I am particularly interested in ones with sheet feeders and how trouble free they are to operate. Monochrome is fine. Please email responses, I will summarise if anyone wants one.
