HP's new ink smears easily when wet. Look for my review in the >current Active Window, the magazine of BCS*Mac. It depends a lot on the paper-- with lightweight computer paper (holes removed), the ink smears badly, even after being out of the printer for a while. With the recommended (20lb cotton bond, which seems quite expensive-- anyone know a place to get it cheaply?) paper, the ink doesn't smear unless wet (haven't had it long enough to test after allowing it to dry for a reasonable amount of time) -- Matthew T.
