To date I have not seen any PD image compressing routines so far. I hate to tell you this but most companies that develop such code are quite likely to guard it as proprietary. I think your best bet is to get yourself a copy of the draft JPEG standard and try yourself. I know that Texas Instruments "Theory, Algorithms, and Implementations Vol III." Has an example of DCT with the C30 and C25. That would be a good starting point. Also check out the comp.compression group. -- Andrew E.
