Everything works fine with the PrintMonitor, but w/o background printing, no matter *how much* memory is available (as in > 1 MB), it gets an OSErr -108 (iMemFullErr). The heaps ok, the largest available block is > 500K. The error occurs during a call to DrawPicture; the pictures are pretty small, ~300 bytes. As I mentioned, everything works great with the PrintMonitor, the code is from TN 162 or something. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks muchly, -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= BoBo Ready, Willing, & Abelian bowman@reed.{edu,bitnet,uucp} "I think that there is a moral to this story, namely that it is more important to have beauty in one's equations than to have them fit experiment." - Dirac
