My current system is a IIci with 4MB (four 1MB SIMMs in Bank A). 1. I've seen some advertisments for 2MB SIMMs for "IIsi, LC, IIci" - I've heard that the IIsi can support 2MB SIMMS, but can my IIci?? Somehow, I think that add was a misprint since similar adds for 2MB SIMMs don't mention the IIci. 2. If I were to use 2MB SIMMs, does that mean I can have (4 x 2MB) + (4 x 1MB) = 12 MB ?? 3. System 7.0 supports Virtual Memory, so do I really need more that 4MB? Right now my system (6.0.7) with all the INITs,etc.. takes up ~1.7MB so it doesn't leave me much to run several large applications at once. Will the Virtual Memory be efficient enough or will I see thrashing with a large system (>2MB) and only 4MB? -Thanks *************************************************************** ** Robert Warden warden@grad1.cis.upenn.edu ** ** University of Pennsylvania ** ***************************************************************
