Possible solutions: - use iLog (available from purdue archive site) to set the height of the NeXT icon to 5 pixels automatically at login and drag the dock out of the way when not using it. - AltDock: set your offset so that when the altDock is in its 'home' position it is most of way off the screen. I usually have altDock's default position over the AltDock application's icon-- at the bottom right of the screen. W/the offset set so that most of the arrow icon is off the screen, I don't lose the 5 pixel high NeXT icon. - set the default menu location to have only one pixel of the menu title on the screen (so you can still grab it). You may have to use 'dwrite' from a shell to set such a strange default value. b.bum b.bumgarner | Disclaimer: All opinions expressed are my own. wb1j+@andrew.cmu.edu | I officially don't represent anyone unless I NeXT Campus Consultant | explicity say I am doing so.
