I just returned from a talk on Adaptive controls. The speaker did not refer to
the system parameters which were to be modeled or to the general architecture
of his control system.

What is your definition of an adaptive control system? There is considerable
hype permeating the controls community regarding adaptive "neural networks".
How do these models fit in with your definition?
