Message-ID: <1991Apr4.211335.21474@odin.corp.sgi.com> Date: 4 Apr 91 21:13:35 GMT Sender: news@odin.corp.sgi.com (Net News) Distribution: na Organization: Silicon Graphics, Inc., Mountain View, CA Lines: 21 Sorry to be so clueless here, but what's behind all this discussion of SHARE? I've seen lots of postings about share, and even a NOSHARE progam that's so small that its author includes it in his "signature". I thought SHARE was only needed if you were running Windows 3.0 in 386Enh mode, with DOS 4.0, and then only if you were running programs that use FCBs. But lately, I've seen people mentioning that they're using SHARE with DOS 3.3 (which is what I use) and without any networks (again, like me), and so I'm beginning to wonder. Do I need SHARE? What sorts of problems should I be experiencing that would indicate that I need SHARE?? Perhaps the answer to this question belongs in the FAQ list.
