I have a PS2/55SX (yes it is a micro channel machine) with 2Meg and just downloded sounder. I am running windows in 386 enhanced mode. After playing a sound, if I then start up a dos program (such as cshow) which uses sounds, and then quit out of it, the speaker lets out a *LOUD* annoying continuous beep. (it sounds rather like a smoke detector). The only way to stop it is to either 1) Quit windows 2) Play a sound I also noticed that after playing a sound, for the rest of the windows session, the speaker will make low blip noices at random intervals. This sounds like my computer is mumbling to me! I hope someone can help me. Paul PS. If anyone knows the authors' e-mail address please let me know, I have had several helpfull correspondances with him and have lost his address, sorry! __________________________________________________________________ | | |"...and on the eigth day god created the Sauter Mean Diameter." | | - D.W.Senser | |________________________________________________________________|
