Here is what worked for me. I addressed mail to: mail bitftp@pucc.princeton.edu There was no mail subject, the message was: ftp cica.cica.indiana.edu UUENCODE user anonymous cd /pub/pc/win3 get ls-ltR quit Even with the help files, it was not obvious how this worked.
