I'm running DecWindow clients (Vax, VMS) in xnews server (Sparc, Unix) I read that, only, the User Executive can send e-mails to other domains with DECW$MAIL.EXE. I did a lot of trials and I have the following conclusion: -The user needs "CMKRNL" and "SYSPRV" privileges The problem is that these privileges are powerfuls and are recommended, only, for the System Administrator and not for a normal user. -When a normal user (without these privileges) try to send a DecW$Mail to another domain, the computer puts the following message: "Unable to open log file. Not logging. Error closing logfile! DECW$MAIL severe error - attemting to complete pending actions %PMDF-F-FCRT, File create error" -All works fine in the local domain -All works fine in local and in other domains with the text mail (no DecW$Mail) I would like that a normal user could send DecW$Mails to another domains. ANY INFORMATION IS WELLCOME !!!!
