But the repeated problems with /usr/lib/X11/XKeysymDB made me think of it. It would be pretty trivial to export an interface in Xlib that would allow a program to query to see what keysyms are defined, and add more if they aren't already there. This would provide Motif (and other apps) with a keysym fallback mechanism similar to fallback resources. I think this would be pretty valuable.
