Communications Research & Development Lines: 11 I have been considering re-compiling the X-distribution with gcc under Sparc2/4.1.1, but I have the impression [from a few casual tests] that gcc does not make that much of a difference on a sparc2. Did anyone out there notice a big improvement (as in 68000 architectures) with gcc compilation? Is it really worth doing it? oz --- What ought to disturb us are not mistakes | Internet: oz@nexus.yorku.ca in general, but only those of them that we | Uucp: utzoo/utai!yunexus!oz are powerless to correct. -- David Miller | Phone: 1+416-736-5257-33976
