well, I've been browsing an browsing thru' the 11R4 source and I
cannot for the life of me track down how X gets keyboard events from 
the hardware/O.S. Can someone point me in the right direction - I've
seen the select()'s etc, but can't seem to find where the keyboard
actually gets read ...

mail would be best, but i'll browse for a day or so.
