Lines: 25 An article in comp.windows.x concerning testing caught my eye and wanted to ask a similar question here. What kind of testing experiences have various people had and what, if any, repercussions have their been. Have very many people tried the: "well it runs, ... ship it." approach with Motif? Considering that some organizations are likely to defer any problem to the knowledge and expertise of OSF, it may be a strategy that can work. Right now, I seem to be seeing a non trivial number of variances from test results to the documentation, and don't know if this is a result of a: the portation b: portation of the test suite c: inaccurate documentation d: all of the above and wonder if other peoples' experiences have been the same. Also, is Xtm worth pursuing? And, yes, it is Motif 1.0. If I had the extra arm and the extra pair of eyes, I would start the X11R4 and Motif 1.1 portation immediately. many thanks to all respondees. -- when everyone is out to get you, being paranoid is just good thinking. - Dr. Johnny Fever A.J.
