They insist you check with them first, but then won't commit to anything. It seems to be a matter of getting to a high enough level in their bureaucratic structure. I guess many of their primary contact persons can't commit on anything that might fall a bit out of the main stream. If someone won't give an answer, ask for a supervisor or someone else who will. If that fails, write to the PA Insurance Commission or to the ODHI in Harrisburg and complain. I'll ask around and see what info is available on this end of the state, but it seems that the people at Geisinger should be able to tell you more about this. Have they done many cochlear implants there? How were they funded? They perform cochlear implants at Allegheny General in Pgh. ps: The Xpress I'm using was downloaded from Stu's SoundingBoard.
