The term Vindaloo is indeed used in the US; there are a whole bunch 
of places here in Boston that serve wonderful Vindaloo, and even in 
the fire-breathing head-clearing variety.  Washington DC, where I 
used to be before shipping off to the northern research labs here ;-)
also has Vindaloo.

Vindaloo in a tight rubber suit though, sounds dangerous to me!
