Lines: 17 I was recently talking to an IBM rep who mentioned to me that they had a product by the name of Sylvia which allowed DB2 databases to be queried by users without having to know the underlying relational structure. I assume it joined tables automatically on the basis of a metaschema, finds the most efficient combination of tables to use, basic statistical optimisation, etc. At least that's what the library I just wrote does. I'd like to get some information on this product of IBM's so that I can do some basic comparisons. Any form of information would be appreciated - e-mail, snailmail, fax, anything! (Anyone from IBM reading this ?) Thanks for any information. -- Nirad Sharma (exnirad@brolga.cc.uq.oz.au) Phone : (+61 7) 365 7575 Systems Programmer Fax : (+61 7) 870 5080 Continuing Education Unit The University of Queensland.
