Me too.  I would also like to see the hardware upgraded to better
support high speed async modems with bidirectional RTS/CTS flow
control.  The new crop of V.32bis dial modems run at 14,400 bps (full
duplex) on the wire.  With the V.42bis compression they can hit peaks
of 57,600 bps on the RS-232 interface.
