"Programming Techniques for Software Development", by Bebo White,
published by Van Nostrand Reinhold,1989.

The goal of this book is to provide an introduction to a wide variety
of techniques with an emphasis on the basic concepts, vocabulary and
references for advanced study. There are sample programs demonstrating
each concept.These sample programs were designed to be as complete
as possible and portable to a wide variety of computing platforms.
Pascal and BASIC are used with the idea that those languages
represent a "least common denominator" for "structured" and
"un-structured" code development readily translatable to languages
of choice. The program code was also written so that it could be easily
modified and integrated as subprograms into more complex applications.
