Subject: P.D. Type-1 fonts with Adobe Plus Pack "foundry" ??

Is there a way to install public-domain Type-1 fonts (such as are
available from cica.indiana.edu) in such a way that the "foundry"
program of "Adobe Plus Pak" can read and use them?

The major difference between the way Adobe fonts install and the way
P.D. fonts install seems to be the presence of *.afm and *.inf files
for the Adobe fonts, which are missing for the PD fonts.

Is there some documentation available which would allow one to
construct these missing data files?
